Wanna Play Dress-up?

A friend gave me a desk recently and I love the desk itself but didn't really need the top hutch. I saved it because I figured I could use it for something and I was right (doesn't happen often so I feel the need to point it out when it does:). I have been wanting to find a way to house the girls dress-up clothes in the play room but could not find anything I was happy with. I decided to use the hutch and I am so happy with the results. My handy husband attached a 1x12 to the top (which used to be the bottom), we painted it and and added hooks to the 1x12 and voila a new dress up area.

I think it looks great but may i ad something' There needs to be a board put from the bottom to the top, in the middle or the 1x12 will bow in the middle even if there is nothing on it.

Thanks for linking up. Perfect! I love it. I bet your daughter is thrilled to see her diva dresses being showcased that way.

I love that! Good thing you held onto that hutch until the right idea hit you. I really like how organized the dress up clothes are, as compared to a dress up trunk.

Great idea! So much better than a trunk stuffed full of wrinkly dresses.

That is too cute! I love how you can see everything up and pretty instead of bunched up in a trunk. :)

Wonderful idea and re-use! Easy storage for your girls and a cute organized way to "display" their favorite dress up clothes. It's like a custom closet for their play things. I like it!
